If you liked 500 Days of Summer then you will love this! Plus timely! I'm only half in love with Zooey's new show, New Girl, but I genuinely think she is a very talented singer and musician. And Joseph! Oh my gosh! So versatile! So handsome! And what a voice! Plus he can do back flips! Anyway, I could go on and on about their work but just watch this adorable video.

My Rebecca Minkoff Bag is my new boyfriend
My best Christmas gift this year was this amazing Rebecca Minkoff purse. It's neon green and shiny. Those are two of my favorite things. Plus, it's a purse! Purses are my favorite.
I may have to get this one too. Because when you are from Princeton things just aren't as good if you don't have them in both pink and green.
She has some other cute ones as well.
I think Rebecca Minkoff is brilliant. Her designs are great as is her business model and it has paid off tremendously. Earlier this year, Rebecca’s company nabbed the number six spot for revenue in the Women Presidents’ Organization rankings with $17.5 million earned in 2010. It should be noted that the company is self-funded and has only been around for six years. Minkoff was smart to get in on the recent trend of new American designers like Tory Burch and Phillip Lim building their businesses around the concept of offering high style at not-so-high prices. Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom have both recently devoted more floor space to the category. In 2010 she reintroduced her clothing line, debuted shoes for the first time and launched a men’s accessories line called Ben Minkoff. Last season she also, at the request of Saks Fifth Avenue, introduced a Collection line of higher-end pieces, priced from $595 to $2,000. And this week she debuted her full collection at New York Fashion Week. “The best part about NYFW is seeing all of my vision and my team and the hard work come to fruition on the runway. It’s a beautiful moment and I couldn’t feel any prouder when the lights go up and the show starts,” she told FabSugar. Plus I love that her best seller is called the morning after purse. It like validates the walk of shame.
Anyway every celebrity and her sister also loves these purses and her clothing. Let's take a look:

What Would Lisbeth Sander Do? And Why Rooney Mara is my New Girl Crush
So I saw The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo last night and after all the hype I have to say, I thought it really delivered. Daniel Craig (who is just so gorgeous) was great but Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Sander was amazing. She will now be a household name. She looked the part, she had the accent and the girl was not afraid to show some skin. I really think that character of Lisbeth Sander is a great heroine for girls. She is unconventional but that is great. She is a woman in tech (yes it is illegal hacking but she is awesome at it so whatever), she kicks ass, she brilliantly punishes her rapist and she truly pulls off that whole piercings/crazy hair/black hoodie look. To be truthful when i wear my black pants and little black cap with a black coat I feel a little like Lisbeth. Plus I also have a Macbook Air so we are pretty much the same.
But in all seriousness I have liked Rooney Mara since her great role as Erica Albright in The Social Network in which she uttered that great line: "You are probably going to be a very successful computer person. But you're going to go through life thinking that girls don't like you because you're a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that won't be true. It'll be because you're an asshole." Brilliant.
But anyway, in case you didn't know Rooney has been in the acting game for quite a few years though you may recognize her sister Kate Mara better (Brokeback Mountain, We Are Marshall, the scary mess that is American Horror.) But Rooney has been working her way through Hollywood with roles in Nightmare on Elm Street, Tanner Hall (which is weird but worth the rental for the fashion and Tom Everett Scott cuteness) and of course, The Social Network. And with this role she will be uber-famous. Plus, did I mention the Mara sisters won the genetic lottery? In addition to being gorgeous she was born into professional football royalty in Bedford, New York in 1985. She is one of four children born to New York Giants executive Timothy Christopher Mara and Kathleen McNulty, the granddaughter of Art Rooney, Sr., the founder of the Pittsburgh Steelers football franchise. Her father's grandfather was Giants founder Tim Mara. (Her mother's maiden name was Rooney.) She talks about a bit in this interview with Letterman.

Anyway, Rooney's career is about to take off with this role (especially if they make the sequels) and so has her amazing fashion sense. I also love that she has kept the jet black hair. I can't wait to see what she wears at The Golden Globes (she was nominated.) Here are some of her best looks:

I am a little obsessed with Carey Mulligan
A lot of photos have been surfacing of the new Great Gatsby film reboot. The cast is stellar: Leonardo Dicaprio, Tobey Maguire, Isla Fischer and my favorite, Carey Mulligan.
My one problem is that Baz Luhrmann is directing it. I get that some people think he is a visionary but I just don't. There are two kinds of people in this world: People who like Moulin Rouge and those who don't. It's like he wants everyone to feel like they are on ecstasy.
Yes, I liked Romeo & Juliet as much as the next 13-year-old girl but I soon got over it. That Claire Danes crying scene pretty much ruined it for everyone. And I am not pleased with the fact that he is putting the film in 3D but with that cast, I will give it the benefit of the doubt.
Anyway, back to Carey Mulligan. She really had her big break two years ago when she starred in the film An Education which is amazing (she had already had a small part in one of my other favorite films, Pride & Prejudice, but that was Keira Knightly's movie.)
Then suddenly Carey was everywhere. Partly because in one year she was nominated for a BAFTA, a Golden Globe and an Oscar and booked one of the most anticipated sequels ever, Oliver Stone's Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.
Then throw in the fact that Anna Wintour said she liked her (which is pretty much the equivalent of them braiding each other's hair and telling secrets to each other) and that little affair with Shia Labeouf before he became a total douchebag and you've got a star. Some of her movies have been too depressing to watch (hello Never Let Me Go) but most have been great (Drive and the upcoming Shame.)
By the way Shame is the upcoming film where Michael Fassbender (hottie from XMen: First Class) plays a sex addict. And now she is Daisy Buchanan. She beat out several famous ladies for this role including Blake Lively (thank God.) Plus her fashion sense, though somewhat odd sometimes, is killer. She is a complete original. And I love that she refuses to grow out her hair.
