10 Looks I am Obsessed With This Week

It may be hot as balls but the outfits are still looking sharp. Yeah for white pants and navy blue skirts!

Reese looking classy in crisp white pants and a great top

Naomi Watts looking classic in stripes, sandals and hat

Adorable AnnaSophia Robb in a Miss Wu dress

Love this hippy look on Ashley Tisdale

Natalie Portman looking super ladylike in Japan in Christian Dior

Olivia Munn living it up in white!

Sandra Bullock shows the effortless appeal of the summer LBD

Karolina Kurkova is a little matchy matchy but I love the bright blue blazer and top

Katie Holmes is rocking a fun little summer dress

Lauren Conrad in a PaperCrown skirt (her own line)

Ugh. Emma Watson is even more perfect than we thought

Perfectly beautiful and British Emma Watson, who looks like a goddamn fairy when she has short hair, has graced the cover of Teen Vogue this month. And get this, she is also a minimalist when it comes to fashion. "I've got about eight pairs of shoes and that's it," she said in an interview with Radio Times, where she discussed the excess in Paris Hilton's closet in promotion of her new film The Bling Ring.

"She could never wear all of those clothes and half of them were brand new and still had the price tag on," Watson said of Hilton's extravagance. "But I suppose she just bought them to have them. We've all bought things on impulse but that's an entirely different thing," Watson continued. "It's almost like consumerism as a form of kleptomania." Well, yeah Emma. But if I looked like Audrey Hepburn and Natalie Wood had a baby I would probably also be cool with eight pairs of shoes (plus they would all be Christian Loubitins.)

I love the cover of the mag as she kind of looks like a bad ass with her slicked back hair and showing her freckles loud and proud. She also talks about how she even managed to injure herself while just filming a party scene and not actually attending an actual party. "We were doing a scene in a nightclub," she recalled, "and this girl accidentally put her stiletto through my toe! And the crazy thing is, I had so much adrenaline going through my system that I just kept dancing until, finally, I looked down at my foot and saw the blood."

I wish I could say when I got stepped on by high heels (and this seemed to happen every weekend for a month) I also was so high on adrenaline that I continued to keep dancing but that was so not the case. Bitching and weeping started immediately. And the person who probably stepped on me was wearing like Aldo pumps. If you are going to get mutilated by a shoe it should at least be a really good one.

P.S. I loved these multi-pattern dresses she is clear a big fan of

Cheating Women Tend to Shop at Banana Republic Apparently

In a new really weird study from AshleyMadison.com (enough said) it was found that women who tend to cheat also tend to shop at Banana Republic and J.Crew. So basically if you see a preppy and conservative lady they are probably cheating on their boyfriend or husband. The obvious move would be to start dressing really sexy (pushup bra, high heels, trench coat with nothing underneath) but the stealth move is to dress really buttoned up and wear nautical stripes with khaki capris. According to CEO Noel Biderman, "If your spouse suddenly seems more consumed with style and putting outfits together after spending years in sweatpants, that is a telltale sign she could be two timing."

AshleyMadison.com CEO Noel Biderman explained how the brand's "business casual merchandise perfectly suits the busy working woman, juggling work and family," which matches the profile of the site's average female user -- "a professional woman in her early 30s." Yes, she is juggling work, family and a lover on the side and for that she needs an eyelet peasant top.

The rest of the results were pretty predictable.

The rest of the results: 1) Banana Republic 2) J.Crew 3) Macy’s 4) Ann Taylor 5) H&M 6) Bebe 7) Lane Bryant 8) Chico’s 9) Lululemon 10) JC Penney But the study also found that cheating women like Marc Jacobs handbags, RayBan aviators and colored skinny jeans. Female cheaters, they're just like the rest of us!

10 Looks I Am Obsessed With This Week

Summer may mean the slowdown of events but it does not mean the slowdown of fashion. Here are some of my favorite looks from this week.

I love this look on Gwyneth. Is she playing tennis? Is she at a party? Who knows. Dress by Alexander McQueen.

Oh! Could she look any cuter! I love the bobbed hair.

Oh Kiki. Whenever she gets dressed up it is just so cute. She just nails it with this Proenza Schouler LBD and matching shorts.

I am obsessed with this Christian Dior ensemble Natalie Portman wore to her husband's benefit over the weekend.

Reese is back and with a vengeance. She dresses up a jean ensemble like no one else. Love the striped jacket and the flats.

This is possibly the most festive room

Rooney Mara never looks particularly happy but this may be her closest moment. This bold print Preen dress is positively almost girly and flirty.

I can't find a full sho\t of her but I am a little obsessed with this loose white dress Kristin Wigg wore on The Graham Norton Show this week.
Only Alexa Chung  could pull this off!

Oh Selma. Cute as always! A tunic top is perfect for summer!

Here is my version of a perfect summer look via Selma Blair:

10 Fashion Lessons from Sex & the City (on the occasion of its 15th Anniversary!!!)

Can you believe it? Sex & the City debuted 15 years ago this week. At this time I was in high school and did not have cable so this had not hit my radar.

But soon this show got so big that everyone knew what it was and I felt completely left out. Luckily HBO (geniuses that they are) quickly pushed the series to video and DVD (that's right, I said video) and I was able to catch up. I probably didn't get half of the sexual references but boy did I get the fashion and being fabulous in New York part. That whole part I totally got and really wanted.

I may look like a Charlotte (Kristen Davis and I have some similar features) but all I wanted to be was a Carrie. The other day someone actually said I was like a real life Carrie Bradshaw except that is absolutely not true because A) I do not write about sex because it would be a super short article B) I do not go out on a date every night of the week with different guys. Seriously Carrie was like a female James Bond those first few seasons C) I do not defy the realities of the New York real estate market or a writer's salary which Carrie absolutely did. Rent controlled-schment controlled you cannot own that kind of wardrobe and that apartment without hooking on the side (which she kind of did in that one episode!)

But I did think it was a great show and though I know Girls is supposed to speak more to my generation (apparently we are all crazy and live in Brooklyn with horrible boyfriends and can't even put on a pair of pants to go to the emergency room to deal with our OCD) but I'd choose S&TC. You can get more of my thoughts on this over at Levo League.

I think the proper way to celebrate this anniversary is to look at the fashion lessons from the show and some of the best outfits. Here we go!

1) Who says you can't wear high heels everywhere

To the horse stables in Central Park? Sure! To walk across the city? Again, why not? Heels should be and can be worn for every occasion.

2) A black bra should never stop you from wearing a white shirt

Though Sarah Jessica Parker didn't do any nudity on S&TC we saw her assets a plenty.

3) Fur can be worn to baseball games

And shopping

Or traversing in the snow

Hey, how is this not practical? It keeps you warm. And it looks so good with her cigarette and beer.

4) If you can rock a big flower accessory, DO IT

Yes, it is a little Seussical the Musical but it is also amazing.

5) Ballerinas shouldn't get to have all the fun

The famous pink tutu skirt and of course, that amazing skirt from the series finale in Paris.

6) If you got the body, do wear the same dress as Miley Cyrus (this one's from Samantha)

Frankly, I liked it better on Samantha

7) You can  never wear too many pearls

8) Wear these only if you are super confident
I do not understand that last one

The last one makes absolutely no sense.

9) Look fabulous even when you're just sitting around at home
Or just running around town

10) Always think: WWCBD (What Would Carrie Bradshaw Do?)

I actually really liked Berger until Post-It-gate

So simple but I love the chunky scarf

Partly worn because she was pregnant but I loved it
