The Best Oscar Dresses Ever (in my humble opinion)

The Oscars are finally here!! Anne Hathaway can finally recite the speech she probably started putting together the minute she got the role in Les Mis. Yes, the show is always fun and it will be great to see 16 montages about movies but we all know why we really watch: The Fashion! It is just a night about fashion. I've mentioned some of my favorite dresses on this site over the years but let's take a look (also, that picture above is one of my favorites in the world. Oh to be a fly on the wall.)

One of my favorites. When Renee was nominated for Bridget Jones she wore this vintage strapless Lily et Cie dress. Perfection.

Possibly one of the sexiest dresses to ever be worn on the red carpet. Jennifer Lawrence stunned in a Calvin Klein collection red number.

Such a unique and stunning number. This was by Elie Saab.

I love Reese but I often am disappointed with her Oscar choices but this Nina Ricci gown was to  dye for (get it?!)

An oldie but a goodie! Back in 1996 at Sandra's first Oscars, when she just becoming huge, she sported this gorgeous chocolate Calvin Kelin number.

FAVORITE DRESS EVER! Michelle Williams was perfection in Vera Wang in 2006. This is when she really let us know she was no longer that second fiddle girl on Dawson's Creek.

Charlize Theron in Vera Wang back in 2000. Knockout.

Keira Knightley in Vera Wang in 2006. I don't love the mermaid bottom but I do love that she wore the dress with a ponytail.

Nicole Kidman always knows how to bring it for the Oscars.

Oh young Kate Winslet back when she was nominated for  Sense & Sensibility.. The dress is Vivienne Westwood.

Only Cate Blanchett could pull of a John Galliano dress with a weird plate thing.

After messing up so badly the year she was nominated, we totally forgot when she wore this gorgeous Vera Wang  lace dress.

A very young Liv Tyler at the Oscars.

Gwynnie in her iconic Calvin Klein dress, Zac Posen and Tom Ford.

It looks like sparkly latex but it was awesome. Emily Blunt in Calvin Klein.

SJP in Chanel. Yes, this is a really weird dress but for some reason I like it.

Sandra Bullock in gorgeous Marchesa.

Love this Chanel number on Kirsten Dunst.

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab

The dress is really nothing but the strands and strands of L'Wren Scott diamonds are incredible.

Charlize Theron went a little crazy with the self tanner but her gorgeous Gucci gown was perfect for her Oscar win.

Grace Kelly in Edith Head.

The famous Prada dress. She looks gorgeous even though she is making a bitch face.
