The Hunter rain boots have become a staple of the preppy chic/sensible look. The designers keep coming up with more fun colors and patterns and different sizes. And I can assuredly say that these boots are so much better to wear in the winter with the Hunter fleece socks than a pair of Ugg boots especially in New York City which is covered with brown slush gook for most of the winter.
Hunter also makes a bag called The Ashleigh which is awesome because I have a friend that spells it that way and in college we always competed for who could carry the more ridiculously large bag. She eventually won with this giant Old Navy bag that we joked could contain a mother cat and her litter of kittens comfortably plus a lot of other crap. This was when celebrities started carrying around giant Balenciaga bags and we were both obsessed with Nicole Richie and Mary-Kate Olsen and tried to dress like them to the best of our abilities.
P.S. Hunter also makes adorable welly flats which are perfect for summer rain because the boots get too hot.
